Despite the challenges, Scodelario has continued to build a successful career since Skins. She has starred in films such as the Maze Runner series, The King’s Daughter, and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. She has also appeared in TV shows like Spinning Out and Crawl. However, she admits that her career has not always been smooth sailing.
âThere have been times when Iâve struggled to find work, or when Iâve been rejected for roles that I really wanted,â she says. âBut I try to remind myself that rejection is just part of the industry, and that there will always be ups and downs.â
One thing that has helped Scodelario navigate the highs and lows of her career is her family. She credits her husband, actor Benjamin Walker, with providing unwavering support and encouragement. âHeâs always there for me, no matter what,â she says. âAnd having my children has given me a new perspective on life. They remind me whatâs truly important.â
As for the future, Scodelario is excited about the projects she has in the pipeline, including a TV series based on the book Anatomy of a Scandal. She is also open to exploring new genres and challenging herself as an actor. âI want to keep growing and evolving in my career,â she says. âAnd Iâm excited to see where this journey takes me next.â
But for now, she is content to be at home with her family, enjoying the simple moments of parenthood. âI never thought I would be so happy just playing with my kids and hanging out with my dog,â she says with a smile. âBut it truly is the best feeling in the world.â
She describes the experience as “terrifying but wonderful,” and she was grateful for the opportunity to connect with her Brazilian heritage in that way. Reflecting on her career so far, she acknowledges that she has faced challenges and setbacks, but she remains determined to continue growing and evolving as an actor.
As she looks to the future, Scodelario is excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. She is passionate about telling diverse and compelling stories, and she is committed to using her platform to advocate for important issues such as safeguarding and representation in the industry. With her talent, drive, and resilience, it’s clear that Kaya Scodelario is a force to be reckoned with in the world of entertainment.
Mi hijo llegó a casa e inmediatamente dijo: ‘No, ¡quiero volver!â
