Wendy’s will open its new sit on Blackpool’s promenade with reports claiming it could be in the former Viva Vegas Diner.
The franchise will be run by the Papa Group which also operates Papa’s Fish and Chips next door.
Wendy’s is also set to open a restaurant in Preston’s Fishergate shopping center near the McDonald’s.

A date hasn’t been set for either of the new eatery’s openings, although recruitment for managers and assistants is underway.
Wendy’s is famous for its signature square beef patties and frosty desserts, and is the third-biggest burger chain in the world behind McDonald’s and Burger King.
The nearest of its restaurants to Lancashire that is currently open, is in Kirkby, Merseyside.
In 2021, the company returned to the UK after a 21-year hiatus announcing it was to open a restaurant in Reading.
