Preguntas y respuestas: Cómo los nuevos entrenadores de bienestar amplían el apoyo a la salud mental en las escuelas de California

How does the Certified Wellness Coach program aim to support teachers and school staff?

Our program is aimed at not only supporting students but also supporting teachers and school staff. We know that teachers have been under immense pressure during the pandemic, and burnout is a real concern. By providing additional mental health support through certified wellness coaches, we hope to alleviate some of that pressure on teachers. Coaches can work with teachers to identify students who may be struggling with mental health issues and provide early interventions to support those students. Additionally, coaches can offer support to teachers themselves, helping them navigate their own mental health challenges and stressors.

Overall, we believe that by investing in the mental health and well-being of students and school staff, we can create a more supportive and resilient school community that is better equipped to navigate the challenges brought on by the pandemic and beyond.

Overall, the feedback we have received about the program has been incredibly positive. Students, parents, and educators alike have expressed gratitude for the support and resources that wellness coaches provide. By addressing the mental health and well-being of young people, we hope to create a more supportive and inclusive environment in schools and communities. As we continue to expand and sustain the program, we are committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of children and youth in California.
