Black Country, New Road – ‘Concorde’
Black Country, New Road have announced their second album, Ants From Up There, which arrives on February 4. ‘Concorde’ is the first taste of the record, and it’s a sprawling, nine-minute epic that showcases the band’s unique blend of post-punk, jazz, and spoken word. “It’s a song about being trapped in a cycle of self-sabotage and the subsequent realization that you’ve been repeating the same mistakes over and over,” frontman Isaac Wood explained in a statement. “It’s about the mental gymnastics people go through to convince themselves that they’re not responsible for their own failures, and the moment of clarity when they see that they are.”
